Projects That Don’t Get Finished…

I do this far too much. I start a project, get really excited about it, dedicate days to creating a website and then forget all about it or get distracted by something else! I’ve got a fair few sites from various failed…unfinished projects that I should really do something with…ah well. I guess this just proves that having some sort of structured plan is always a good idea, something I definitely learned the hard way! Anyway, I have started to plan my websites a lot more efficiently now though, and I’ve found that I’m a lot more productive when I write down exactly what I need to do on any given day the night before, because if I don’t I tend to spend a lot of my ‘working’ day browsing blogs and forums…

Hey Ian, if any of your “niche” websites go unfinished then I think I know someone who might be interested ;)

Funny you should say that; for the first time ever I’ve written down a “to-do” list for tomorrow, entitled “Friday’s To Do List” - we’ll see how that goes, shan’t we! ;)

Maybe is time to do that!
I have a post-it with a ToDo list, but the problem is.. it just become something decorative around my monitor!
And I spend all my day through blogs, fotologs, forums and silly chat. That’s not good at all.
Thanks for the idea… Maybe I’ll start with this tomorrow.

It definitely takes a special disipline to follow to-do-lists
but if you follow them, the feeling of accomplishment is
so great, you will wonder how you ever did without them!
