Haloscan Comments Tool

Today I’ve been mucking around with the Haloscan comments tool, which is basically a lazy way to add a comments feature to parts of your website (or blog). All you need to do is add a bit of code and you have full comment functionality! It’s got all the standard features; comment moderation, email notifictions, spam blocker etc and the best feature? It’s completely free!

I guess the only downside is that the comments aren’t actually hosted on your site (they open up in a new window) so if the Haloscan server goes down people wouldn’t be able to see the comments, but it’s still definitely a great tool for people like me who don’t know anything about scripts (as I’ve said before my coding ability is limited)!

Anyway, I think this is a handy little tool and I’m creating a new category for this blog called resources, which will contain this post and any future tools or resources that I come across.
